FAMILY FISHING EVENTS

During Arizona Game and Fish Department free fishing clinics, loaner rods are provided, bait is free, and no license is required to those who register during event hours.

Unplug kids and get them hooked on fishing!

Nov. 21

Welcome back the Trout to Tempe Town Lake, 4-6 p. at the SRP Tempe Town Lake Marina.  Families and community members are invited to come down and watch as thousands of rainbow trout from the Department’s Page Springs Hatchery are released into Town Lake.


Dec. 2

Town of Gilbert – Youth Fishing Day. 8 a.m. – noon. Freestone Pond 1045 E. Juniper Ave. Gilbert.

Details: This family event is co-sponsored by the Town of Gilbert and Arizona Game and Fish Department. Sport Fishing Education Program staff and volunteer instructors will be on hand to provide loaner rods for the first 100 participants who don’t have their own rod, as well as bait and fishing information. Come on out and bring the whole family. Fishing licenses are not required for those who register with Game & Fish staff during the planned hours of the event. See you there!
